    Taking pre-meal readings only

    been type 1 for 10 yrs now and never go without testing after meals , HBA1c of 5.9 , if you enjoy a varied but healthy diet then i feel it's essential to test after meals . Especially if you drive a lot as i do!

    Possibly a wee tip check your sugars as often as possible and when they are dropping low say at 5,6 or seven instead of eating anything increase your sugar checks to every half hour, to try an maintain a lower sugar level , practice this whenever possible and I guarantee your hba1c will soon...
