    When does a type 2 go on insulin?

    I have controlled my type 2 with diet and Medication for 25 years. But I am now despite taking 160mg Gliclazide And 2850 mg Metformin, having blood sugar Levels between 10 and 13. I suspect I will have to go on insulin. Has Someone been in my position?
