Just been diagnosed with GD. On my second week of monitoring, going back to diabetic clinic on Mon and they'll decide where to go from there. Problem is in order to keep my sugar within the levels they want I'm literally having to starve myself. Baby is already small for gestation. I've also been practically scared to death by the diabetic specialist by them saying if I can't control my sugars then my baby will end up in special care. So now I'm too scared to eat. What exactly can I eat? Everything is full of sugar. Low sugar food full of fat. It seems impossible to find a happy medium. Please is there anyone who can guide me in the right direction?
