Oh man that stinks so much, I'm sorry! My childhood was pretty uneventful health wise, besides the thirst, peeing and total lack of energy. I still played with kids, I biked a lot outdoors, but I was exhausted all the time. I think part of my exhaustion was mental (I'm an HSP as long as I can remember) but enough was physical. My weight is probably also a genetic factor of some sort, my sister has a BMI of 18 and has been chronically underweight for most of her life just like my mom. My mom didn't get to a really healthy weight until after menopause. I take after my dad's side of the family, all heavyset. (When I went out shopping with my aunt from my dad's side, they always thought I was her daughter!) I've been wondering if I might be having thyroid issues too but been too chicken to get tested. My GP would probably need something more than 'I'm fat and can't seem to lose weight at all' and I'm too tired to get into that fight at the moment. I don't fit the PCOS profile thankfully so that's out, but who knows? There's so much looking back at my childhood I can't help but wonder what else I'm missing right now. I definitely have mixed feelings! It's comforting to know that I might finally have an answer as to why my memories are filled with exhaustion and excessive thirst, on the other hand it's frustrating that we may have skipped over symptoms for so long too. I'm glad I was diagnosed fairly early on anyway in my early twenties before my pancreas really kicked the bucket, at the very least. You're welcome. :)
