Guys? That "history stuff" was so long ago... I came to this forum not long after my T2 dad died. He also spent the last 8 years of his life with vascular dementia. My mum was his primary carer with support from me (I lived the closest.) and my sister doing a 150 mile round trip from her place when she could.. I came here to find out if I did the right thing by my dad cutting his carbs down from the "recommended" balanced dietary advice put out by the HCPs.. His A1c had certainly improved & he was also pulled off the prescribed Metformin.. Which certainly prolonged his life. Did I do the right thing? I pretty much tripped over this forum the night my dad died googling his medical notes & keeping him company in his last hour. Joining up probably just after my dad's funeral & still looking for answers... As far as the "history" is concerned on the alleged "carb bullying" in a galaxy far away... Drawing another Sci Fi analogy here. If I had joined earlier & listened to a "certain point of view".? I may have just ended up trying to kill my dad like this poor bloke...? ;)
