Gliclazide

I have been told by my nurse to stop taking Gliclazide because it is causing slight problems to my kidneys. I currently take 60 units of novomix twice a day and 10mg of Dapagliflozin a day but am now getting very high sugar levels 15 to 20mml . So I have been taking a small dose of novorapid 15 units with meals each day. Would it be ok to take a smaller dose of Gliclazide as well which I still have plenty of.
It is very difficult to get an appointment at my surgery at the moment

We are not medically trained or qualified to give advice about medication. If your nurse has told you not to take something because it's causing you problems, you would probably be wise to do as they say.
If your sugar levels are worrying you, could you cut a few carbs out of your diet until you can contact the Dr for advice.
