Only complication has been swelling and numbness in feet (10 years; resolved with short-term use of 500 mg pantothenic acid B5), and nerve pain in top of right foot briefly after staring the LCKD. All diabetic complications have resolved on the low carbohydrate ketogenic diet with supplements, and walking.
