Hello, I'm new here and have been type 2 diabetic for about 5 years, up until last year I didn't take my blood sugar levels as my GP told me that I didn't need to as I was only type 2 diabetic. But since going into hospital last year for other health issues and being asked what my sugar levels were like, I now check them once first thing in the morning after my first cup of coffee...
I'm currently having problems with my blood sugar and am having a different medication so the doctor is playing with the dosage to find out the best one...I would ask the diabetic nurse or GP to make sure you're not putting yourself at risk, everyone is different and there's so many reasons why someone may take them more or less than anyone else...
