[QUOTE="AJB_81, post: 1509265, member: 395521"] Well we've made the switch to MDI and things are going well so far, here's what we did: - 1) Put a Libre sensors on two weeks before our holiday, 2) With 1 week to go we disconnected the pump first thing in the morning and immediately injected 11 units of Levemir. Pump basal of 18 equates to a requirement of 22 units of Levemir (18 x 1.2= 21.6, so round up to 22 and take half in the AM and half in the morning). 3) Monitoring BGs with the Libre meter and so far so good. 4) Counting carbs and injecting NovoRapid just as before, 10g carbs = 1 unit. 5) We're ready to go FLORIDA HERE WE COME! The biggest issue at the moment is when BGs drift and we want to correct, the pump is so easy to have the odd correction here and there, so don't think MDI is a tempting prospect long term but good for freedom in holidays!
