Steroid tpi's
I had 7. Tpi's last Tuesday, they were for fibromyalgia, fasciitis in the neck and shoulders. They worked on the pain but sent my blood glucose rock setting to 19.3 mmol. They are up and down. Today before lunch they were 4.3 then spiked up to 15.1 Its making me feel horrible. Can someone give me some idea as to how long this is likely to go on

Hi Yvonne,

Trigger point injections of steroids do upset blood sugars. They usually take up to 10 days before blood sugars return to normal.

I hope you found some pain relief after they were administered.
