Help my daughter is type 1 and my husband has her off for a few days they forgot to inject her lantus at 5pm. When I phoned they had just done it and that was 730pm how will this affect her?? We're still learning as she was only diagnosed in Nov 2013 but only been on the basal bolus since August.
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks L

I have moved it by a couple of hours either way and it's been fine.

For future reference I think the official recommendation is to reduce by the couple of hours you missed. (For example if you were 6 hours late you'd reduce the dose by 25% and return to normal the following day).

Thanks for the information, she's gone a bit low tonight but nothing lucozade won't help hopefully she'll be okay overnight.

The 2 hour difference will be fine, if she wants to inject it again at 5 pm then she should inject it tomorrow night at 6 pm then the following night at 5 pm, but she could just inject it tomorrow at 5 pm and then monitor her bg levels, it shouldn't make that much difference tbh.
