Mood Swings

Hi All,
I have been recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and notice I seem to get angry at times when I used to be much more controlled. Example: losing patience with my dogs when I never used to. Could this be from blood sugar swings?
Thanks,
Bill

Yes, I think so Bill.
Fluctuating blood sugars can unsettling, including mood swings.
Hopefully people will be along shortly to offer you advice on improving your BS management.
What they will probably ask is what were your test results, did they put you on meds, your diet etc. You're not obliged to answer of course but there are people who genuinely want to help.
Good luck

I do not have diabetes
My husband now has 3 different moods, depending if he is high, normal or low in his blood sugars. When I wake up, I never know what Robbie I have to deal with. I find that giving him water brings him back down from an " angry high ", but a nice cup of tea with 1 tsp of sugar brings the " I can't cope with this anymore " low. I have learnt to accept his moods, but when he's in " angry high " mode, his tongue is sharp.

Welcome to our rollercoaster! It does get better if you get to grips with it all. Have a good read around the site and come back with lots of questions.

Poor grammar, bullying and drunks.
You must remember that not only are you trying to deal with fluctuating blood glucose, you are trying to deal with your diagnosis at the same time. It takes a while to process all this knowledge and this can cause stress which in turn can affect mood and bg. Give yourself some time, your dogs will love you always. Best wishes.
