Does anyone have any advice about reducing basal rates or suspending the pump whilst exercising? Currently I am only managing 20-30 minutes of exercise before a hypo.

It does depend on the exercise you are doing obviously but there are plenty of methods for counteracting the problem.
Simple things like reducing your basal a couple of hours before planned exercise for starters.
If unexpected then have a carb snack before you start.
Bottom line is you need to work out what works for you. So have a good supply of fast acting carbs whilst working on a solution that works for you.
