Yes, it’s that time of year again, when we are all inclined to have too much on our minds, one way or another.

For those taking regular medications, each year we have a few folks for whom the timing has all gone very wrong, and they end up in a jam with their meds – not able to get a repeat prescription, or don’t have enough to see out the shut-down or whatever.

Soooooooo. Is it time to tot up the tablets or restock the fridge with insulin? Hope fully the "Yo, Ho Ho!", won't turn into "Yo, Ho Heck!"

I hope Santa finds you and decides you’ve been a good boy/girl this year.

My surgery will not issue a script too much in advance. I went and asked the other day and was told that they will only do it if you order the week before its due. Which is what they always do anyway. I told them I was going away and the receptionist said to put a note with the request and if it was not too far in advance, ie not more than 14 days, they might allow it.

I dont know why. I asked but she didn't know either.

Poor grammar, bullying and drunks.
Just don't wrap up my Metformin in glittery paper and expect a good response. ;)

I got a text message from my GP this morning reminding me about repeat prescriptions and the dates they would be closed, fairly on the ball in my opinion. Although I have just literally collected my repeat yesterday.

I use a medadvisor app here that reminds me when my meds are running out and tells me how many repeats I have left and whether or not I need to see my doc for new scripts. It's good most of the time except when my pharmacy doesn't load things properly on it (it's only as good as their data entry).

Thanks for reminder @DCUKMod . I'm all stocked up except for one of my asthma inhalers, metformin, tramadol and gaviscon. Which is good for me as I'm on 2 pages of repeat meds and 2 items not on repeat. 3 of those are to make up 175mg of levothyroxine. Shame not one tablet and I'd love metformin in implant form.
There's 4 meds for conditions not for diabetes but definitely help.
I'm a walking rattler! Ha ha
Merry Christmas to you too!

How lucky those are on no meds! ;)
