Hi, i would know what you all eat and if you follow any diet, but please be specific and nice... also please tell the bg results you get with the meal (aprox is ok)
Today i had omlette with with smoked salmon and cheese,I'm LCHF, though the HF might be not quite so high.
Yesterday
B: Blueberries, yogurt, walnuts
L: Celery, cheese, olives and potted meat.
D: Roast chicken, runner beans, spinach with cheese, microwaved.
4.9 before and 6.1 2 hours after.
This morning, 5.0.
There are a bunch of threads on what folk eat but few actually give numbers.
6.4 after dinner tonight... i had a bowl of bolgnaise sauce with melted cheese a handful of nuts and some emental cheese.Today i had omlette with with smoked salmon and cheese,
5.5 before and 6.1 after
I then had a tuna sweetcorn and cucumber salad (inspired by my polish friends) with a bowl of blueberries and rasberries.
Tonight some nuts. Havent eaten them yet though! Made some spegghetti bolognaise for the family so may have the sauce with some cheese on. (I make my own from scratch so nothing hiding inside. As ready made put sugar in)
Tomorrow looking to do a seafood spanish stew which is yummy and non low carbers could have a bit of rice with... i have had before and only raises me a very little... i think 0.2 of a rise!
bacon this week.. 10-12 rashers per day in my attempt to get into ketosis.
this week.. but its not exactly a hardship and tastier than a 5 day fast..Only bacon?

That sounds nice! Suprising you only have a little rise... what type of bread do you use for toast?I have :1 slice of cheese on toast in the morning ..
For lunch a green salad with blue cheese dressing
Dinner ... can be anything .. but yesterday it was a veggie lasagna, with the pasta replaced with eggplant and courgette, served with a fresh green salad.
Supper .. cherry pie and full fat cream
My 2 hour after eating readings are generally around 5.8 to 6.0
yes a little.. my weight loss had stalled so I have been trying fasting .. I read about something called the bacon experiment where someone ate 30 rashers of bacon a day for 30 days and improved weight. blood sugars and cholesterol levels. Sounded like an easy option but as I am already very low carb and have fasted for up to 5 days I thought one bacon meal a day should be sufficient (that said yesterday I had lunch and dinner of bacon and then slipped with some cheese and oppo ice cream with double cream.. oops) Bloods went from 4.6 to 5.2 so not disastrous.. Lost about 3 pounds this weekAre you losing weight on only bacon?
when I first started low carb I would rise higher .. but now I stay in the normal range whatever I eat .. just enjoy low carb ... I have wholemeal sliced bread ... keep it in the freezer as I only use two slices a day .. one for me and one for the wife :0That sounds nice! I like a chinese but never had it that high! I have the beef in black bean and green pepper, chicken chow mein, seaweed, spring rolls, the chicken and sweetcorn soup i dont eat all of it but bgl stay within normal range...Not sure what you mean by a rasher. I get it in 500 gram packages. I slipped tonite with chinese takeout, ummm 5.8 to 11 yikes. was back to 5.8 by the 2 hour mark. It is only my second slip in 4 months but wow it was a good one. I am also VLC at less than 20 grams but I think not as low as you are.
How long were you lchf before you reached that point? I have been on lchf for a few months but just keep reducing the carbs to stay withing normal range... however it may be to compensate for less exercise or the hormones...when I first started low carb I would rise higher .. but now I stay in the normal range whatever I eat .. just enjoy low carb ... When I first went LCHF the wife weighed everything and I got anything I wanted to eat.. just adjusted the portion size to fit with my 20g of carbs a day. So when I wanted a veggie pastie .. it is fine .. but I only got a inch square of it !!!! As I said, nowadays I can eat whatever I like with little rise in my bs
I will try the avocado, how does it help with weightI eat half an avocado with celery for BF. Very small if any rise.. BF is the hardest to get right. I cannot eat any carbs ( other than a few celery sticks) and very little protein if any. Protein will raise me especially at BF
Lunch is a small chopped salad with various veggies and Evoo or mayo and a few oz protein OR a lettuce wrap with the veggies and protein on it and some avocado chunks Same foods/amounts of food just a different shape haha
Dinner same as lunch
Snacks a few nuts or pumpkin seeds
Avocado really helps keep my spike low and slow so I eat some with all meals.
