I would love to hear more about what others are doing with different diets and their pros and cons. I note that Daisy's intro which is provided to all new members does not refer to LCHF - no particular reason why it should - so it could be argued that LCHF adherents are putting forward the alternative, not the other way round. The question is who is going to talk about the various other alternatives? Is it time that Daisy's intro post is revised to take account of all options so that some of the subjectivity is removed? (Marion, this thread has developed a momentum of its own - apologies if it feels hijacked but there is some useful discussion coming out of this). There's no reason for this debate to get polarised, what's important is that new members are made to feel welcome and supported (as I was), and I don't doubt that everyone is trying to offer help but we can only be truly 'expert' on our own experiences and what works for us as individuals, and in the process we get some feel for how widespread that experience and approach is. If I get too evangelical in talking about my own approach then I hope someone will say so and I'll tone it down.
