Marfmama said:I have a lot of hypos, pretty much once a day, things like hoovering / scrubbing the bathroom can send me low, I'm a teacher and spend all day on my feet which can run me down, also have a three year old boy so lots of chasing after him! The worst was one evening I played squash for two hours, felt fine that night but paid for it the next day, just had hypo after hypo and felt awful! Iv recently started testing all the time and writing down what I'm eating to try and get myself straight!! I'm quite sensitive to insulin being 8 stone and not taking huge amounts .. I will have about 4 units before a meal, my sugars are bad and it frustrates me, in the same day I can have hypos and sugars of 18 - gets me down!!! I think my honeymoon period lasted a long time and so I was able to get away with being fairly relaxed, also I found it easy to be strict wih myself early on but as time went on it sunk in that this is for life and got harder to be so strict ha! I need support from outside as like I said team here is pants and also my partner is lovely but just doesn't get it and will buy chocolate for me when really I need tough love! I don't even like sweet stuff that much any more to be honest, I always feel really ill after it and its just not worth it! I also have a problem wih portion control because as a child I was always forced to clear my plate, so now I find it really hard to leave anything even if I am stuffed!!! Wow Iv really rambled on sorry!!!! How can I add you in Facebook ?
