So you can see you are a bit high. Have you got your own glucose meter? If not, I urge you to get one so you can test out the foods you are eating and find a diet more suited to lower levels. Testing before eating and a couple of hours later will help you enormously, and is the best way to gain control.
Ah I see, yeah I do have my own monitor and going to follow it closely to get it down after meals as I know my fasting blood glucose is usually averaging around 7 as I have been checking in the morning, thank-you for your advice
My doctor said I was diabetic at 7.5 with my first hba1c I have ever had. Fasting was also in the high 8's. But I'm also in Canada so might have different standards. But with some diet and exercise I was able to get that down to a 5.5 in only three months. It wasn't even that much exercise. Only a 30 minute walk a day (about 1.5 km).
