From an horrendous HbAC1 of 16.3 in March, to 9.2 in June, to 6.0 now (42) Cholesterol 4.9, everything else fine. I think proof (if more were needed) that lower carbing (130-150g per day in my case) works. I also would like to thank people for the great advise on here, and also I do feel sorry for new T2's who are only told of one approach. Caterham

C Caterham Well-Known Member Messages 85 Type of diabetes Type 2 Treatment type Tablets (oral) Oct 17, 2012 #6 Thanks for the comments. Might have a glass of white wine tonight with my chilli! Interestingly, the doctor offered me statins even though my cholesterol was 4.9. Refused for the moment.
