I'm so pleased this other GP saw sense and you have an answer for your pain. The surgeon sounds good too. Now you know what's causing it, that in itself must be a huge relief. Obviously managing the pain will be ongoing until you can get some definative treatment to correct the scoliosis. And take note of your posture...bad posture, e.g. slouching certainly will do your back no favours!
