It seems to be an established fact that red wine can lower blood glucose levels, but is the same true of a glass of port, being a much sweeter tasting tipple.(please please please may the answer be yes )
port is a Christmas treat only for me - 14g of carbs in a 3.5 floz glass - sugars being about 8g - the best thing to do is have a glass and do a few tests, this is the only way you wil find out if you can tolerate it
If you can get away with a small one now and again for a treat I envy you :mrgreen: - I used to love a glass of port with me cheese and a port & brandy on occasions- purely for medicinal reasons you understand! :wink:
