I tried it last night with my cat and although she didn't get up and leave she did do the skin-twitch thing a couple of times.
I just noticed that that white kitty in the picture has one claw dug into the lap, and very, very dilated pupils!
Her eyes are wide open because she's awake. Her pupils. however, are sunlit slits which is normal for interior daylight when she's relaxed as here in one of her favorite places and positions. Actually she's probably thinking "OK, another picture of lovely me."
