A real negative vibe at recent diabetes review

Little green log book. About half the size & style of a school (approx A4) “exercise book” perchance?

I used to log pee tests in those.. 1976. Yep, “sorry. Get clumsy with the pipette or test tube? spilt a bit on the book..”

Don’t worry about the typos. I feel we’ve all been “weighed measured & found wanting” in some way or another.
It’s no one’s place to judge..

You've summarized the situation perfectly. The key is that you don't have to see this as just a setback. The shortage of older medications like Victoza is precisely why many patients and providers are switching to the newer, more effective options.

When you speak to your doctor, you can frame it as a proactive step: "Since Victoza is unavailable, I'd like to discuss transitioning to a more modern treatment like Semaglutide or Tirzepatide to continue my progress."

Many specialized weight loss and diabetes clinics are well-stocked with these newer compounded formulations, which can be a reliable solution during these national shortages. It's worth exploring this as a direct path forward.

@DrJattaWellness I see from your info that you are in the States. Most on here are in the UK therefore under the whims of the NHS. Well stocked clinics we can access are pie in the sky. If the area you live in decides it is not going to prescribe. It won’t.
