A visit to see the Health Nurse

I had my monthly visit to see the diabetes practice nurse today, she took bloods and weighed me (not good as I've put on weight on , again) , i then shown her the results from my testing as it's been three month's since my last hba1c test and since starting on Bydorion. the last results worked out between 72/76 but i forgot the actual reading.

I've a new appointment in two weeks time , I'm confident that my HbA1c results will be a lot better this time around ... now i just need to work on the weight..

Crikey - you get a monthly check up? Is that because you've recently changed meds/recently diagnosed. I'm now down to once a year because I'm keeping my levels under control, but wonder if that is a good thing (yes, I'm controlling things quite well) or a bad thing (I'm ok testing bg levels but not cholesterol and am very bad at remembering to take blood pressure). As regards the weight loss, you'll find lots of useful advice and support on the forum, so I hope it goes well for you.

It's because of the new meds, I used to be on byetta but because I don't usually eat to a schedule my meals used to be ready before I had time to take it (plus I also forgot to take it as well), i was told be my practice nurse that if I wanted to go onto the Bydurion injection I had to test more often and see her once a month as until she was happy with my results. I now feel a lot better and have started exercising through PARS and going for short walks.
