Accu chek multiclix lancets

Hi I have got a full box that I don't need as I use the fastclix lancets now. If you pm me your address I can post them out to you tomorrow.

What about contacting Roche and asking them if they can send you a new one. I now use their Fast Clix device (which is supposed to be the least painful one to use). It also has a drum with 6 lancets in it but it is smaller than the Multiclix.

Was looking at another forum and someone contacted Roche they sent one out but have your meter at hand when you phone as they required the serial no

If you call Roche they will probably send you a new meter which will have a MultiClix device with it.

Well, I rang on Tuesday as I was having problems with my fastclix, seemed to be bruising my fingers and needing a lot of pressure to make it work and they sent me 2 new ones. Its worth a try. The worst they can do is say no

There's a good chance of that they sent me an offer of a free upgrade to their new mobile meter which I took up it will be ok as a spare,
And not bad considering my existing meter is only three month old

I'm surprised your pharmacist was unable to help you - neither lancets nor lancing devices are prescription items, and whilst you can get them on prescription or free from the manufacturer (e.g. With a meter) you can also buy them in pharmacies (boots website list a medisana lancing device for £3.99, so you could have either bought that outright or gone to your GP to request a prescription for that because the old lancets have been discontinued)

In general, I find that pharmacists are a lot more helpful with this since they actually know the stuff whilst GPs just pick stuff from a catalogue of hundreds of very nearly identically named items.

Tell the doctor to stop being a bloody idiot? They wouldn't have prescribed lancets if you didn't need them, and that need didn't magically go away when the manufacturer stopped making the specific type of lancet you were using...
