accuchek expert and novamix 30

my daughter has been used to heraccuchek expert for over a year. however due to various reasons has been using novamix 30 bd. which she is accepting.

is there a way of using the expert using novamix so she knows how many or few carbs she have left after testing at lunch and other times.???

im sure there are some tech people on these forums who might be able to make suggestions!!!!!

elaine who is dreading the start of year8.sept 10diagnosed. sept 11 high school and chest infection that kept her off for 3 weeks!!!!!!!
 
The expert is only intended for use with people on Basal Bolus regime.. so ts not possible to use with the insulin mixes

most people on mixed insulin use a fixed dose a number of times a day as advised by the DSN, this is less flexable than basal bolus, as you should be eating to suite the insulin dose, an not changing the dose to suite what you want to eat.

so you should be using the meter without the insulin advisor, or you could aquire a aviva nano so its smaller and uses the same strips, saving the expert for when/if your dauther tries basal bolus again
