~Reading this article in the Mail today about Gorbachev, what is acute diabetes? Does this just mean badly controlled? Surely all Type 1's have chronic diabetes not acute?

What is acute diabetes? possibly DKA or Honk since they are both immediately life threatening
(but really are acute complications of diabetes)
Gorbachev? who knows ? He's gone home now apparently.

Acute means no warnings for drop in sugar levels hard to keep control one lady I know has trained dog which tells her of level drop

"Acute" is the opposite of "chronic", so I'd be forced to conclude that he's suffering from gestational diabetes.

acute diabetic normally has a bikini on,,....or is that just me?
