Advice for parents of T1 child?

Don't ever expect perfect control, but expect your mistakes to get smaller and smaller.

Don't wrap your child in cotton wool let them be independent otherwise they will resent their diabetes, we all make mistakes its how we learn.

Include the child in everything. Every discussion, every meeting, every educational event related to diabetes. It's his/her disease - they need it even moreso than you do.

I would say, listen to your child, he/she has probably got a better grip on the situation than you realise!

Kind regards
