I have a new job in school kitchen. My bs have been fine for a long time but since I started work January I've noticed they have crept up..I have coffee and eggs for breakfast at 6 am then I'm home for 2 pm but my bs at 2 pm today was 10 it's becoming all the time it's high.i am going through menopause to be honest and I don't eat at work just have coffee break at 11..it's a bit worrying not sure what in doing wrong. I eat well less carbs.
I find if I go too long without eating my BG creeps up. It also goes up if I exercise for too long. Are you quite physical at work ? I have found the remedy for me is to snack on a few nuts, might be worth a try with your coffee ? good luck
Thank you for answering yes its very physical there's over 300 children to help cook for serve and the of course there's the pots to wash and kitchen to clean. It's hard work. Not that I don't love it mind I do..i thought it would of done me good the work and not eating but looks like I'm wrong.. I shall try tomorrow and take a boiled egg and some almonds. Thank you

Great idea. I can't go too long without eating either or I pop up. Even more so if I'm active. You just need enough to provoke an insulin response so a few nuts or an egg would be good. Even a piece of deli meat with some mayo. Doesn't have to be big, just a snack.
