Re: Advice please

As the diabetic wife of a neurotic husband I have to be really honest! You have to let him be, there is nothing more frustrating than feeling you are being checked up on, ultimately we know its because you care but it can or at least does for me make you feel like a child. Diabetes is complicated and individual but most of the time we will ask for help when needed and you will probably recognise the danger signs!

Re: Advice please

Thanks that's what Im trying to do and i myself prob know more then most type 1 as needed to make sure i was awear off all signs and aspects of the disorder the question was more that i don't nag or check up on my husband and trust his decisions completely and even though he is fine how do partners loves ones deal with living with diabetes for the sufferer dealing with it becomes day to day for people like me who don't want ti nag and constantly bring it up it can be very very very hard to come to terms with x

Re: Advice please

I completely understand its hard and it took my hubby years to sleep throughout the night without checking I was still alive!! Being there for your partner is so important and it's a very fine line between supportive and nagging, you will learn to relax about it it just takes time xx
