Hi,

So as ive had a bad a1c again ive had to start my meds all over again, i reversed diabetes from 125 to 33 previously in one year, now i went down the spiral again however last months a1c was 81 still bad but. Anywho since ive changed back to my low carb/ keto diet ive noticed that when i sleep i have problems, like i dont sleep like i used to and i often wake feeling like i havent slept i dont get the same feeling of sensation sleeping as i used to often wake up at 4am and try to get back to sleep And every morning my sugars high like 8-9 when i check at 8am suggesting i keep spiking overnight but then during the day they remain around 4-7 on a low carb diet. I know what the dawn phenomenon is i just need info on how to combat it and also ive had this really bad headache the past few days and not peeing as often as im used to probably cos im on the low carb diet but.

I dont know this seems like a lot of ramble i just wanted to get off my chest im a confused 22 year old, i hate reliving this. But i know i can smash it back into remission again

Sorry to hear you’ve had a rise in your numbers, coming back is a good first step. Just noting that your profile at the side says your on oral tablets but your about info says you are on insulin.

Can you just confirm your medication as it will make a difference to the advice members can give you. If you are on insulin could you update your side profile from tablets to insulin. If you need any help with that just give shout out by tagging myself or one of the other mods and we’ll be happy to help

Hi not on insulin any more tried to edit that but not sure how to im on 1g metformin in the morning and 1g at evening meal

you can edit via going to: https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/account/ scroll down to "About You:" can change in there.

well done on prior reduction thats awesome some have had a little luck with halting dawn phenomenon via eating a couple of almonds. are you waking up early for anything in particular eg pee?

No not even for pee or anything like that, my eyes literally just open at 4am its getting ridiculous i may need to book with my GP

Hi @niaz11

Click on your name in the top right hand corner, then click on account details, scroll down to medication (not about you) then click in there and you can change it there, when done click on save - hope that helps
