If I read it correctly, myfitnesspal collects information about your contacts and friends for some reason.I'm so pleased someone else has asked this question! I've been keeping a food diary with My Fitness Pal for the past 2 weeks and have been able to keep my daily carb intake at between 40 (best) and 110 (bad day!) but I've been wanting to ask what the daily average fat grams should be? Mine range between 84g - 103 and always above My Fitness Pal's recommended daily intake, but I've not worked out how to programme it for LCHF.
Advice please while we are on the topic of how to carb count? Thank you

Best not to add contacts or friends then. I haven't and can't see the point.
reads them from your phone I think.
Id check the privacy policy anyway. I only read up to that bit. There may be a bit about computers too.Phew from me too. I don't use my phone for anything except phone calls and texts!
Phew! I haven't downloaded the phone app. Couldn't see how to get it on my BlackBerry. I just have it to my desktop and laptop. Thanks for the tip.
Thanks also for the advice on changing my goals. I've just done it. Have set it to 50% fat. Am I getting close?
I have not used this service but how can you have 60% fat and 60% carbs, that makes 120%?It's entirely up to you and how you feel. I have mine set at 105 carbs and 60% fat 60% protein at the moment, using 1200 calories. I'll have to change this when I've reached my goal weight and increase the calories a bit. I'm meeting the carb target easily but trying to keep the protein one down a bit some days. I'm a bit frightened of eating too much but its hard when you eat a lot of meat, fish and eggs.

No problem I'm easily confused. Did I tell you I'm diabetic? So it does! I should have said grams! Thanks for pointing it out.
Thanks both of you. I'm also on 1200 calories @Bluetit1802 so will use your quantities for fat and protein as I think our carbs are already similar. Your a great role model, thank you!
