Very pleased with my results. Everything is good on the way down or up if HDL. I am especially pleased with my liver count, I had been getting really high readings on and off for a year (No I do not drink) now my liver readings are well within the good numbers and my Triglyceride's are 0.97 (from 1.08) My HDL is 1.74 (could be better I know) and my LDL is 3.39 My total cholesterol is 5.26
My total glucose was 7.06 The Dr did not do a HAb1c (?) test this time, but the last reading just over a month ago was 6.5 and that was after week of being ill and my glucose readings very high for a few days. So I am happy. The weight I have lost over the past year has stayed off (all but 1kg over Christmas/New Year) so I am back on track to get to my target weight, just another 6 lb to lose. My weight has been coming off slowly, a kilo every other week or so, much better that way, then it should stay off.
I am taking 1275mg of Metaformin a day (1/2 850mg tablet 3 times a day) The first week I had a very iffy stomach but the gurgling and discomfort went after the first week, thank goodness. I also take a blood pressure pill, not because I have raised blood pressure, but to protect my kidneys from damage as they had shown up some slight change when I had an ultrascan. The specialist said the change was nothing much to be concerned about.
So all in all I am very happy and just an afterthought..... I have not had a headache since taking the tablets either
