Why not cook up a nice dinner, invite a friend and have a beer with it? Then you'll know how your body reacts and you'll have a good evening as well!

I would be more worried about the affects of taking that much Metformin than the alcohol. That seems an awfully high dose to start on. Metformin often does cause diarrhoea and that could well spoil your evening.

I take 500mg Metformin morning and night. Have done for the past year and i'm pretty sure I've had a few heavy nights out.....and i'll be having one Saturday night too I'll be skipping the evening Metformin that day. Sensible or not...i don't get out much.
