In this case anywhere but here.

Head cold took a turn for the worse yesterday, levels going all to pot on me, both basal and bolus up significantly. I'm at my brother in law's and they are trying to be helpful, but to be honest I'd rather be at home sipping a decent whisky and reading a book.

Anyone else?

its because your mistaking christmas at rellies house as a good experience, there aren't many things in life id rather be doing than sitting on my sofa drinking a cup of tea, but visiting relatives at christmas is a car crash from the invite lol I'm terrified of going to the dentist but given the choice between the dentist and tomorrows christmas dinner at the inlaws? gimme that dam drill ill do it myself but

I can't say I would change much in my plans. Off for a parkrun then home quick shower and off to one of the daughter in laws for pressie opening with grandchildren, off to the other one for more of the same and my Christmas dinner cooked for me, already been given a list of choices so I can pick what I am happy to eat (we all got that not just the ones who watch what they eat). Then off for a 50 mile drive to collect my daughter from work.

Not seeing my sons until boxing day. That could have mad my day perfect nut only so many hours in a day.

Got the Christmas present I wanted @Andy12345 entry to the Manc. marathon

Lucky you Mongoose,

in my case, I'm normally happy to come here for CHristmas, but this year I just feel like sh!t and would rather be left alone to deal with it.

I have other sets of relatives I'd rather pull my own teeth out than stay there

Don't get me wrong. I moved house and changed phone numbers three times to get away from some of my relatives..........

Still the damned cards arrive

Then, I do pop them straight in the bin.

I don't do family stuff because that's what society expects, I pick and choose which ones are going to be a good thing in my life and the rest of them can go swivel

I know what you mean about being ill and left to deal with it.

Good luck with that

I hope you're feeling better now Dave! It's rubbish being ill at Xmas anyway, never mind it being your first T1 Xmas too and your levels going haywire!
