Alton towers trip?

Hi guys I just joined but I have an important question

My school is having a reward trip down to Alton Towers and I'm going, but we are going to be gone the whole day. The bus trip is 7 hours down and another 7 back up. I'm on 2 injections a day and I don't know if its a good idea to go on a seven hour bus trip :C So can anyone suggest what I should do for the bus rides? I mean we make service stops and stuff but is there anything I should take with me? anything that will stop hypos?

P.S which rides do you think is the coolest

That IS an important question...

Oblivion is bar far the coolest ride at AT. I love it.

Air and Nemisis are bloody aweful - made me sick both times. (Pretty fast and pretty crazy, though - DEFINITLY worth the queue!)

On to the less important question ( ) - as long as you take enough food (maybe glucotabs if you use 'em?) to cover your injections and while you're on the bus, you shuld be fine. Might be worth checking BG periodically. Adreneline can have a funny effect on BG...

And if you should happen to be sick after a ride, remember to eat something else, just in case...

Nemesis is definately my favourite, but i also love the oblivion. Thirteen is pretty good too if its the first time you've been on it!

Thats a very long ride to go to alton towers but i'm sure you'll be fine.

Take some glucose tablets and some snacks to keep you going incase you do hypo.

As patch says the adrenaline and excitement of the rides can make you BG go up, but you'll also be walking around all day, also be weary of the weather incase it decides to be super sunny

When i go i usually test before i get on any rides, i think hypo symptoms can be similar to the feeling of nervousness on a ride so make sure you do check frequently.

Most importantly have an awesome time
