hi..... I always HATED veg except peas and swede, my mum boiled all veg into a mush (baby food) then I got married and the wife basically did the same..... well being low carb etc I needed to eat lots of veg and have discovered that by cooking veg differently it tastes great! for instance I looked up cooking asparagus then went for the olive oil in the skillet fried version then I drizzle with lemon, its awesome.....so my point is, if you aren't too keen on veg like me, please search google for the best way to cook it, it changes everything about veg....., just a thought

It's back to that old English tradition of boiling veg to death. I NEVER boil, only steam, but I do sir fry too.

Ps a chef friend of mine says his mother used to start the Brussels sprouts on Friday for Sunday dinner  He fries them with chestnuts
Roasted veg is nice too.
I grew up in a Czech household, where traditionally not much veg is served on the plate. It comes separately in soups or salads. I don't know where I learned to cook and love veggies.

the chestnuts sounds great but carby if I remember never in a millions years thought it possible to love veg, I only ate veg on sundays under protest my whole life....until now

I love veg!

I do roasted veg in the air fryer with a little olive oil and sage, rosemary and thyme, they come out crispy on the outside and soft in the middle.

I also do peppers, onions, mushrooms and courgette with a little olive oil and greek spices

If only I could give up Yorkshire puddings and gravy

Cheers
