Antibody tests have come back negative (gada and islet) but my c peptide test result was 166? Anyone any ideas?

Didn't you ask your consultant what the results meant?

I'm not sure what range that test is using for C-Peptide. Are you sure there isn't a decimal point in there somewhere?

The negative on GADA and islet antibodies suggest that if you are diabetic (are you?), it's probably not autoimmune diabetes. Though the antibody tests are far from perfect.

Definitely no decimal point. He just said it was 166 and the normal range is 140-1000

Ask the Consultant for an interpretation of your results.

We are not going to second guess a consultant who has tested you, sorry. You will have to wait for the diagnosis from the consultant. How long will it be before you get the diagnosis?
