Hi folks,

Was having a lounge around on the sofa early this afternoon (well, it is the weekend) and turned over without realising my pump belt had slightly slipped round.

It wasn't a problem, but before I straightened it out it did feel mildly unpumpfortable.

Anyone else got any words, phrases or definitions to describe particular moments of diabetes life?

When I was a kid being dragged out for fresh air and exercise, we rated walks on whether they were a 'one Mars bar', 'two Mars bar' or - on particularly strenuous occasions - 'THREE Mars bar' walks.

That is finger pricking good

'Hypover'
The lingering fuggyheadedness resulting from a hypo that was too low, too fast and too long, and the causes of which are nothing like as enjoyable as the decent red wine that can be known to cause its close relation, the 'hangover'.

I went on a blind date with a diabetic but he wasn't my type

Be not afeard: either the lancet or the pen.

The pen is mightier than the sword.

Apologies to Willy Shakespeare.
