Aneurysm - any info welcomed...

Hi. Been ages since I posted. Got my diabetes under control on 2g metformin daily. Living the life lost 25+k - basically rockin' & roll in'

Had an *episode* in January. Turned out its cluster migraines so fairy nuff did the required - called back for an MRI - then for a CT - then a diagnosis of Complex MC Aneurysm.

All I can find to inform me is general clinical work on new surgical procedures. None of the sites I've researched give me any great shakes of insight - and I'm a tough cookie but I really need to hear something relevant whether good bad or indifferent from someone (anyone) who knows about this condition. I have appointments coming up so I'll get the further treatment details then - but has anyone else any tales to tell about surviving surgery intact &/or experience?

It would be awesome to not feel so isolated...

Attending the neurosurgery clinic in two weeks. There will be an angiogram which I'll be awake for, and which sounds utterly fascinating. How many people get to see their brain up close and in HD? Followed by assessment for surgery. Then a surgical date. All of this within the next 6-8 weeks.

Having spoken to the neurosurgeon, radiologist and other team members I have a great deal of confidence in them as professionals. Don't you just love it when medical people don't talk down to you? Anyway, truth has sunk in now, I believe it's happening and no longer feel Alice in Wonderlandish. Thanks again for your help and also for your kind interest
