Angiogram now tomorrow not next week

Being type 1, my health and what really grates me are false people who make themselves out to be something when their not
Any advice as whether to lower or slightly raise basal rate whilst having this done firstly I don't want to go hypo whilst procedure is carried out, secondly I don't want raised bloods otherwise there'll either put me on a sliding scale and probably not let me out till next day
?
 
Can't help you except to say check your pump manual to make sure your pump can be worn as CT scan involved I think and that's a def no with my pump.
But good luck and hope all goes well for you.
 
I'm on MDI but didn't need to adjust my basal when I had my angiogram. Hope it goes well for you.

There's a screen beside the bed so you can see what's going on. I thought it all looked like a jellyfish

They have told me that the pumps ok to be worn let's hope they are clued up on the subject
 
Thanks all for the kind words, I'm sure it will all go ok, can't wait to see myself on the big screen so to speak!!
 
Yeahhh all good news no furry arteries or blockages in fact the surgeon said he was really surprised about how good my hearts condition was for a diabetic of 40 years. And the amazing thing was the staff nurses in charge of me was type 1 on the Accu chek combo, lived a couple of miles away from me and attends the same diabetic clinic as me, we got on like a house on fire, talk about coincidence

Oh yes they think the pain is Anxiety/stress Brilliant!!

its good you checked with the pump manufacturers its the same as dental ex-rays if the pump go's wrong you may npt be covered insurance

Do check that your pump won't be effected by the angiogram.

That is good news and such a relief @masonbason63, can I ask where they inserted the catheter? When I had mine done they went through the groin area but I believe they mainly do it through the wrist.

They put the catheter in my wrist as it was the consultants preferred area as apparently where they numb the area if they do it in the groin it takes longer recovery walking etc I was in the hospital at 8.15 and all done and back on ward by 9.20 and on way home at 1pm Amazing!!.

I disconnected my pump and the placed it behind the screens that are protected from x-Rays they all seemed aware of what to do with the pump, I also had my new Diabetic Friend to help I wanted to keep in touch with him but I just knew that wasn't ethical,
