Well I just called Animas as my new pumper's goodie bag was getting low. They had never heard of me and could not locate a funding letter. DSN had told me at the end of Jan my account was set up with Animas. Anyway Animas were great and are investigating with the DSN directly. Meantime they are sending emergency supplies from their UK warehouse (normally they come from Belgium) and couriering them.
I also found out that any consumables I have a problem with, eg Inset IIs that bounce off my rippling sixpack (ahem), I can call technical support and they will dispatch a jiffy bag for them to be sent back and replaced.
And to get the cheaper Dexcom G4 CGM sensors I need to fill out a VAT exemption form, but also the hospital need to provide Animas with a clinical support letter. This doesn't commit the hospital to any costs, it just says they approve and will support me using CGM. Animas also pointed out they won't provide tech support or failure replacements for sensors (and presumably transmitters?) provided via someone else eg Advanced Therapeutics UK. I would need ATUK to deal with any issues with sensors they supplied.
