Hello all. This morning I attended the clinic at my hospital. I have had Type 1 since 1959. I also attend renal clinic and was pleased to hear this morning that I have no protein in urine and my creatine level was 140.
Howeve I was told my right foot has very poor circulation and was told this morning I will be put on waiting list to see vascular specialist. I have no problem with my feet and regularly walk about a mile each day. Does anyone know what surgery can be done to increase flow of blood to my foot? Will it mean a stay in hospital, or is it a day surgery.
Many thanks.

I'll bump your post up to se if anyone can help.

Peripheral Artery Disease is usually the cause but it affects both legs and feet.

This article explains the causes and treatments.

If you have none of the symptoms described then I would ask your G.P. to explain why you need to see a Vascular Specialist and what he thinks is wrong with you.
