Another blood test

I have just had a call from my doctors receptionist I have never had a call ever in all my life from doctors , so this worried me straight away , to say my blood test came back abnormal and could I come in as soon as possible but this time a fasting blood test. We have no way of knowing. Having said that, the thing that is most affected by fasting/non-fasting is lipids, so it could be that but there is only one way to find out.

I'm afraid that doctors can be very thoughtless. They see a blood test that is way out, quite possibly a laboratory error, or it's only a tiny bit out, but there has been a recent incentive to get everyone within certain parameters and YOU have a weekend of constant worry, constantly pestering Dr Google.
Just remember, if it is the statin thing, you don't have to accept them. Simply say "no", with a nice big smile and a thank you.

Could I suggest that you do get yourself a blood sugar tester. It's the only way you can know how you are doing and what affects your blood sugar levels.
