Hi All

Just a quick hello... I'm 28, type 1 diabetic (since childhood) and coeliac now too. Work full time (and then some!) in a stressful job but thinking of starting family soon so trying to adopt a healthier work life balance and get my hba1c down a bit first.

Have had my share of ups and downs over past 20 odd years so hope I can offer some help and advice, and will probably pick your brains at some point too!

Hi Cleo and welcome to the forum I don't suppose we can teach you very much since you have been diabetic for such a long time, but since you want to reduce your HbA1c, maybe we can help there. Diet is the key and I realise that being coeliac, some of our recommendations may not be suitable, but this is what we usually recommend to new members (ignore the "newly-diagnosed" bit!) This advice was prepared by the Forum Monitors and I hope you will be able to use things in here. If you have any questions, please ask and someone will be pleased to help you. I'm sure you will have plenty of questions later when you think of starting a family and there is a lot of information on here to help you and friendly mums to share their experiences with you. Your experience will also be useful to us.

Welcome to the forum Cleo!
