Hi everyone

Thought I would introduce myself! I am new to the site but not the condition. I am 29 years old and have had diabetes for almost 16 years. When I was 17, i rebelled that much I was hospitalised 5 times and only injected about 10 times in a year. I am not by any means proud of what I did but I had an eating disorder assocaited with my diabetes and knew that not taking my insulin meant I could lose weight very quickly. My Hba1c at its highest was 19 Thankfully thats all in the past and I am now mummy to a little boy who was 4 on new years eve and i am currently 14 weeks pregnant. I have just been dx with retinopathy behind my left eye which has really scared me but consultant has said could be reversed after baby is born *phew*, i hope thats the case!

Look forward to reading the posts on here and replying to some too!

Take care xx
