another newbie witha question

Hi
just joined, so don't know where to look. I am travelling to New Zealand via Kuala Lumpur, to visit family. I haven't travelled for several years and would really like some tips or advice.
I have a had a pump for around 11 years, so fairly comfortable with that, just not sure what problems I might encounter.
