Hi all,
I was diagnosed type 2 back in January and at present am using diet control. Still finding my way but have lost 1 and 1/2 stone so far so not all bad eh? My initial experience with the medical people is very good with a dedicated clinic for us and all managed in house at the local health centre. They tell me I was caught early and with in 3 months had all the figures down to where they wanted.
Something I have noticed along with a couple of friends from work who have also recently been diagnosed with T2 is that there is no one way of handling diabetics with regards to advice from NHS. My wife and I have become very good at reading food labels.
Won't be around all the time but will drop by to pick up tips and seek advice.

Welcome Stephen

Daisy will be along shortly to offer you some excellent advice for newbies to the forum.

Hi Stephen and welcome to the forum
You are certainly doing very well so far. When you pop in, have a look at this information we give to new members which I think will be very helpful to you. And ask as many questions as you need to as there is always someone who will be able to help.

Thanks for the kind welcome Daisy
Hopefully I can take on board the points (some are new to me) and keep up the good start.

Stephen.
