I am having an ongoing problem withBlood sugar control and sensitivity to phenol, a preservative. I am sensitive to a lot of things and my symtoms range from hor,red soles of feet, to all over rash, quick heartbeat. Anyone know of insulin both long and quick without this preservative. Banging head against brick wall with gp and specialist. Have many other health probs and am on oxcycontin, fluxetine, baclofen to name a few....... :!:

Hi
I too have had a bad reaction to Liraglitide and am allergic to chrome and nickel needles. I am both NOvo Mix Rapid 30 and Lantus and find my sweat now smells unpleasant which I can only put down to the insulin.
Glad to see both types are free from phenol but could do without the odour problem.

specialist doesn't want to change insulin, has suggested a week in hospital 2 monitor sugars/00diet/reactions to insulin???
Think this would be unrealistic, not norm activity Tec, never mind Hubble & 3 kids. any one had to do this??
