After last nights covid lock down broadcast, I emailed my transport team to tell them I wasn't going to do the school run because I didn't want to put my health at risk being in a confined space with the children, as this new strain of coronavirus is rampant. I had to call them this afternoon, as I didn't hear from them, and a member of the transport team said she understood my concerns and said I'm not the only one. She said she would pass on my concerns to the head of transport but, there may be repercussions if I don't go in, possibly loss of pay or disciplinary action??.
I rang ACAS and an advisor told me to get in touch with 111 and ask for a shielding letter, but I said I wasn't entitled to one and he said to check and see or call my surgery, which I am and on hold, I'm currently caller number 09.
